Obituary

KENNETH MOWOE was born to Chief Mukoro Mowoe and Mrs. Mary Mowoe in Warri, Nigeria on June 6, 1948, and died on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Educated in Nigeria and the United States, Mr. Mowoe graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay, Wisconsin, in December 1983, and was engaged for much of his professional life in private business.

He is survived by a very large family – his children- Joyce Okene (nee Mowoe) of Warri, Nigeria; Kenneth Mowoe, Jr., and Onome Mowoe, both of the United Kingdom; Ema Mowoe of Amarillo, Texas; Efe Mowoe and Omoshola Mowoe – his siblings, cousins, nephews and nieces around the world; and  his many friends here in the United States and abroad.

On Saturday, April 8, 2017, Mr. Mowoe’s family will greet friends at the Butler Stumpff Funeral Home and the Cremation Society of Oklahoma, 2103 East 3rd Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma, at 10:00 am.  A funeral service will commence at 11:00 am., and his internment will follow at 12:30 pm., at Rolling Oaks Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 4300 East 91st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74137.
