Obituary

Lahona Kelley, 83, passed away on January 2, 2026. She was born on September 4, 1942 and was raised in the Henryetta, OK area before moving to Tulsa to begin married life with her husband, Kenneth Kelley. They had a full life together and had been married for over fifty years at the time of Ken’s passing in 2020. During their marriage, the two of them were virtually inseparable. They enjoyed a variety of family excursions, trips together, dining adventures and many rides on Ken’s Harley Davidson. She was a great wife and mother. In addition to working in the home, Lahona attended the University of Tulsa and went on to work in accounting support and administrative positions before her retirement.

Lahona was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Kelley, mother Emalee Morgan, step-father Streater Morgan, and her father William Palmer. She is survived by her son Kevin Kelley, daughter-in-law Tani Kelley, grandson Ryan Kelley, step-bothers Ron “Bumpy” Morgan and Gary Morgan, aunt Louise Jeffcoat, cousin Deborah Tippie, by her survivor’s spouses and their families, and by other relatives and friends.

While Lahona requested that there be no formal service, a remembrance gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date. Although she suffered from many physical health issues during the last few year of her life, she remained mentally sharp and engaged, while still managing (and demanding) to be able to live independently on her own terms until her passing. She will be fondly remembered as a beautiful lady with a good heart who will be greatly missed.
