Obituary

Lavina Pearl Tobey, 79, of Claremore, Oklahoma passed away August 15, 2012 surrounded by love. She was born February 15, 1933 in Granby, Missouri to Berry Daniel and Alta Pearl (Hance) Turner. Lavina retired from the Pillsbury Company as a top sales representative. She was a faithful and active member of the churches where she attended. She will be deeply missed by so many. Viewing will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2012 from 12:00pm-8:00pm and Thursday, August 23, 2012 from 9:00am-8:00pm both at Butler-Stumpff Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 10:00am, Friday, August 24, 2012 at the Blue Starr Church of Christ in Claremore. Burial will follow in Boulder City, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Eastwood Church of Christ, 2500 N. Plum, Hutchinson, KS 67502 Attn: Michelle Schmucker. Earmark them “Teacher’s Bible.” This is a project that aids ministers of all faiths teach the bible all over the world. Condolences may be sent through the guestbook on this page.

  1. Whenever I think of Lavina I think of how sweet she was to so many. She always tried to think of something positive about people instead of the negative. She endured through physical limitations and she was such an upbeat force in a tiny package. She is missed by all who know her.

  2. You my sweet mother were always the heart of me. I could never let you and I never will. Until we meet again, I love you.

  3. My mom was forever giving of herself, loving, thoughtful, and caring. She was always there for me when I needed her most. Her goal in life was to make sure that her children believed in God and went to church to worship him.I miss her so much. She was my prayer partner whom I miss deeply.
