Obituary

On June 17, 1952, Willie and Victreen Minor were blessed with a beautiful baby girl in Tulsa, Oklahoma, whom they named LeVone Minor.

LeVone attended Tulsa Public Schools and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1971. She was known as the big sister and second mother to all her siblings, always offering love, guidance, and support. LeVone had a creative spirit and found joy in drawing, cooking, and crocheting blankets for her family and friends—gifts that will be cherished forever.

On February 20, 1988, she married the love of her life, Barry Block. They shared many years of love and companionship until his passing on January 11, 2026. Together, they also attended classes at the Institute of Divine Metaphysical.

LeVone was a loving and devoted mother to her children: Carl Lamont Sr., DeMarcoe, LaKeitoe, James Sr., and Starla.

She worked as a Medical Laboratory Assistant at SouthCrest Hospital until her retirement in 2008/2009, where she was known for her dedication and care.

On April 21, 2026, God called LeVone home to be with our Heavenly Father.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Barry Block; her parents, Willie Sr. and Victreen Minor; her brothers, Willie Jr., Norris, and Carl.

LeVone leaves to cherish her memory her children: Carl Lamont Sr. (Rynesha) of Tulsa, OK; DeMarcoe (Tiffiany) of Houston, TX; LaKeitoe of Tulsa, OK; James Sr. of Oklahoma City, OK; and Starla (Paul) of Las Vegas, NV.; grandchildren: Carl Jr. (Sharayveon), Brittiany, Jasmyne, Cameron, Deesia, Dayna, Aliya, Keylan, Dajae Ifekoya, My Prayious Fergson, KeShawna Davis, and Quan Sr.; great-grandchildren: Samaria, Lamontrae, Brielle, Harmony, Honesty, Lyric, and Quan Jr.; brothers: Leon and Donald; sisters: TrRechie and Bertha, Anita; sister-in-law: Joyce; goddaughter: Brandi and her husband; special friends: Ron and Lorene Brown; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
