Obituary

Lawrence D. Starhill left this life on April 21st, 2022, but his spirit lives on in the hearts of family, friends and everyone who came into his life. He was born on November 19th, 1940 in Alva, Ok. Lawrence had an amazing mind. If he didn’t understand something, he would research and read on it until he understood enough to teach someone else how to understand. He was an avid reader and car collector over his entire life and loved classic cars. Whether it be real or model cars, he could tell you everything about them. 

He earned a Masters in Mathematics from BYU. He later earned a doctorate and Law degree from the University of Tulsa. He was a Professor in Calculus at Tulsa Community College. He was one of the longest running Teachers in TCC history.

He is survived by family members and friends in Oklahoma, Thailand, Missouri, Kansas and Kentucky. Arrangements have been entrusted to Butler-Stumpff and Dyer Funeral Home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A small family and friends memorial will be held on 5/6/22 in Catoosa, Ok. Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family at Newkirk Cemetery in Newkirk, Ok.
