Obituary

Lila Clarene Simmons, 76, passed away on June 16, 2026, at Saint John’s Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Lila was born on January 19, 1950, in Missouri and moved to Tulsa with her family as a young child. She made Tulsa her lifelong home and remained there until her passing.

Lila was a dedicated and hardworking employee throughout her life. She worked for more than 20 years at Bryan’s Infant Wear before continuing her career with Walmart, where she also worked for over 20 years.

A faithful member of Owasso First Assembly of God, Lila deeply loved her church and her faith. Attending church services brought her great joy, and when she was unable to attend in person, she faithfully watched services on television.

Lila was preceded in death by her parents, Mable and Elmo Simmons; her brothers, Ancil Simmons, Norbert Simmons, Kelly Simmons, Dwain Simmons, Lloyd Simmons, and Gary Simmons; and her sisters, Wynona Ann Holladay and Paula Jo Waters.

Lila will also be remembered for her love of shopping, especially through QVC. Hardly a day passed without a package arriving at her door, bringing

her excitement and happiness.

Lila’s steadfast faith, strong work ethic, and kind spirit will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.

May her memory be a blessing to her family and friends.

A funeral service for Lila will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026, 10:00 am,  at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Memorial Chapel, followed by graveside services at Memorial Park Cemetery.
