Who??? What did you say?? No, that can’t be right. That was the buzz all over town when they found out she had transition to her final destination.

 

Linda Fay Wash, 69 of Sand Springs, OK., passed away on April 6, 2020 in Tulsa, OK.

 

Due to a CDC health warning about Corona virus or COVID-19, family and friends were not able to gather to celebrate a Homegoing. 

 

A Graveside funeral was held instead on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at Rolling Oaks Cemetery, Tulsa, with Pastor Scott Gordon Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Butler Stumpff/Dyer was in charge of the

Arrangements.

 

Linda (Lue) was born in Longview, Tx, to Ruthie Hollins and Doc McCowan) on October 7, 1950.  She went to the schools in Longview, Tx, where she was a Lobos. 

 

She united with Rennie Baker and they have been together for 39 yrs. She graduated from Community College of Los Angeles and worked as a CNA/Nurse Technician for St. Johns’ Clinic of Tulsa and Hissom Memorial  Center for 12 years.  Later, Linda took all the classes, passed her nurses’ exam to be a registered nurse, but would not do the internship

 

There were a few things that Linda loved to do, and they had to be centered around family.  She went fishing with Rennie, her sons and grandchildren. She played dominos, cards and was a match for many of her opponents (you don’t mess with Ms.Lue). She loved to cook for her family and was one of the best grannie to her grandchildren.

 

Linda is survived by Rennie Baker, 3 sons; Michael Wash, Donald R. Wash, Jr, and Brodrick Wash, 3 sisters 1 brother: Barbara (Archie) Taylor,

Cynthia Theard-Pearce, Angela Sanders, and Cedrick Hollins.  Her Mom; Ruthie Hollins-Chambers.  Grandchildren: Caleb Wash, Michael Wash, Jr.. Joshua Reed, Ebony Reed, Jaylon Reed, Imani Tucker, Alexus Smith, Tacari Wash, Morgan Wash, Tyson Wash, Tayvon Moore and Christina Pearce.  2 brother-in-laws, 1 sister-in-law; Russell Baker, Tuhan (Terry) Baker and Regina (John, Sr.) Barsh. Nieces and Nephews; Tyson Taylor, Kaylon Finley, Sequoia Taylor, Kia Taylor, Tiffany Perez, Jason Perez, Elizabeth Perez, Jason Perez and 2 special relatives; Kenneth McDaniel and Charles Parker and other relatives to numerous to mention by name.
