Obituary

Linda Kay Frye, age 68, passed away June 29th, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Linda was born March 30th, 1947 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Ed and Wilma Duncan. She moved to Tulsa as a young woman and worked at the Petroleum Club for a number of years before meeting her future husband and man of her dreams; Alex Frye. Linda was a loving mother to her two sons Michael Frye of Cleveland, Oklahoma, and Kevin Frye of Fort Worth, Texas. She loved to sew and was an absolute natural at it often making her own clothing, clothing for her boys, and even sewed for other members of the family. She worked for years as a waitress and eventually found a job that complimented her lifelong hobby of sewing. She worked for Hancock’s Fabrics in Tulsa and her customers often consulted with her on various projects they were working on. Linda also enjoyed music, she loved to listen to the radio and sew and could many times be caught dancing to 50’s music with her grandchildren which she especially adored. Linda is survived by her loving husband of more than 48 years Alex Frye; son Kevin Frye, son Michael Frye and his wife Amanda Frye, two grandchildren, Adam Frye and Olivia Frye, sisters Sandra & Pam, and brother Kenny. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed Duncan and Wilma Singleton. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 3rd at 11:00 am at Fairview Cemetery in Spiro, Oklahoma.
