Obituary

Lorraine Rita Cazenave Davis was the 8th of 13 children born on April 8, 1931 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to August Cazenave and Iona (Smith) Cazenave. She was raised in Okmulgee where she attended and graduated from Uganda Martyrs School. After graduation, she traveled and worked for a popular magazine company. During that travel she met and married Bob Davis and later moved to Tulsa where they became parents to two sons, Robert and Joseph. Lorainne was very outspoken and so full of life. She was a fun loving person and shared a unique relationship with every sibling, every cousin, and every relative and friend. Everyone who knew her enjoyed her humor and mischievous behavior. She especially enjoyed teasing her brothers. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed sharing her dishes and recipes with friends and family but some ingredient just happened to be missing when she gave it to you. Lorraine will be missed by all who knew her. We all have our special memories of her and they all make us laugh when we think of her. Lorainne is preceded in death by her husband Bob, son Robert (Bobby), and parents August and Iona (Dunchie). Siblings Geneiveve, Marie, Juanita, Vivian, Eugene, Delores, August Jr., Donald, Ralph, and Leonard, all preceded her in death. She is survived by one son, Joseph Davis of Oklahoma City and two granddaughters Dakasha and Jhamika. She also leaves to cherish her memory, siblings James Chester Cazenave (Phyllis) and Norbert Cazenave (Marve’), and sisters-in-law, Loise Cazenave, Erma Jean Cazenave, and Billye Rose Cazenave. In addition, she also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
