Obituary

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 28, 3:00 p.m., at Crossview Church.

Mark Stephen Hopkins was born on February 16, 1962 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late James and Elna Hopkins. Mark grew up with three sisters, Carol, Laurie, and Jennifer, and five brothers, James, Richard, Jeff, Gary and Daniel.

Mark was a very hard worker and a very talented “jack of all trades.” For the past 10 years, Mark worked as a Do It All Handyman for Jiffy Lube and their families. He made many, many lasting friendships through his work.

Mark left a very memorable impression on those he met. He carried the Holy Spirit along with everywhere he went. He was an ordained minister and loved giving praise and worship, studying the bible, and walked well with the Lord. He preached at halfway homes for many years and in 2013, went to Kazakhstan for a mission trip. Mark loved sharing the word of God and uplifting others.

Mark also enjoyed playing frisbee golf and spending time with his family and friends, all of who he loved very much.

On August 12, 2022, Mark was called to His Heavenly home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elna Lee Hopkins, father, James Hopkins, brother, Danny Hopkins, sister, Jennifer Hopkins Berkhahn, son, Aaron Washington, grandson, Liam Moore, and grandson, Zeke Washington.

Mark’s precious memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Genea Hopkins, children and grandchildren: Megan Washington and her daughter, Kiawa, Jeni and Dave Wenrick and their children, Jayden and Alex, John Jecevicus, Laura Mylar,  Nate and Megan Mylat and their son, Jude, David and Cheyenne Moore and their son, Oliver Matthew Moore, and a host of numerous other relatives and friends, all of whom Mark loved.
