Obituary

Milton McKinney, age 74, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mr. McKinney was born September 25, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri to William Henry and Henrietta (Kirkland) McKinney. Milton loved to cook, and barbeque for his family on the 4th of July. Mr. McKinney also enjoyed gardening and planting flowers and would drop everything to help someone in the family with plumbing problems or to help paint. Milton was an avid church goer and loved to listen to gospel music. Milton worked for years as a laborer in a steel foundry until his retirement. Milton is survived by his children: Vickie McKinney of St. Louis, Mildred Rogers of Georgia, Cornelia “Susie” McKinney of St. Louis and Tracy McKinney of Indianapolis, Minnesota; sisters: Elizabeth Nelson of St. Louis, Margaree Vann of Tulsa, Arlene Johnson of St. Louis, Barbara Burns of Tulsa, Maude Littles of St. Louis and Carlos Franklin of St. Louis; brothers: Donnell Pittman of Chicago, Thomas Douglas Franklin, Jr., along with a host of other nieces, nephews and other dear friends. A memorial service for Milton will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 14, 2014 at Butler-Stumpff Funeral Home. Please sign the online guestbook for Mr. Milton’s family.
