Obituary

On the evening of February 18, 2015, Norma Jean Brooks took her last breaths while sleeping. Now her body is free of pain and sorrow and her soul is at eternal rest. Norma Jean was the first born to Louise Patrick and Tommy Luster Patrick in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on October 22, 1935. She graduated from Booker T. Washington, class of 1954. On February 18, 1954 she joined in holy matrimony with her loving husband of 61 years Johnnie Brooks, Sr. she had four children from this union. Johnny Brooks, Jr, Phillip Michael Brooks, Robin Loraine Brooks Myers and Crystal Louise Brooks Davis. She was an active member of the North Peoria church of Christ for over forty years. She also taught Sunday school for many years. She leaves behind to cherish her memory; her husband Johnny Brooks, Sr., Johnny Brooks, Jr., Phillip Michael Brooks, her brother and Sister Don Ray Patrick and Wilma Louise Mosley and her friend Ruby Robinson and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Norma is preceded in death by her mother, father and two daughters, also brother Tommy Patrick and Sister Sandra Davis.
