Oreland Ray Sparks, Sr., 76, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed away May 27, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ray was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on April 23, 1938 to William and Armintia (Schubert) Sparks. Ray is survived by his loving wife: Carolyn (Bruner) Sparks; children and step-children: Robert Sparks, Jeffrey Sparks, Bonnie Jo Rodriguez, Oreland Sparks, Jr., Debi Ber and Becky Moore; grandchildren: Bradlee, Aaron, Amy, Rebecca, Travis, Curtis, Lacy, Paul, Alan, Michael, Jose, Lucretia, Mandi, Tami, Jenny and Johna; 26 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; siblings: James Sparks and Beulah Calahan. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Sally Jo Sparks; siblings: Joe Sparks, Dora Nottingham, Mary Champlain and Clint Sparks; grandson: Tim Phelan; great-grandson, Ty Short and his parents. Viewing will be from 1:00pm-8:00pm, Saturday, May 31, 2014 and Sunday, June 1, 2014 from 12:00pm-6:00pm both at Butler-Stumpff Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10:00am, Monday, June 2, 2014 at Sequoyah Hills Baptist Church and burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.   2. Ray was a wonderful fun loving brother-in-law. It pleased my heart to see how he loved and took care of my sister, his wife. He will be missed by all the family.
