Obituary

Parthenia L. Harris was born on December 21, 1925 to Willie and Lillie Warner in Boley, Okahoma. She was the third of six children. Parthenia was educated in the Boley School System, Boley, Oklahoma. She met and married Nathan E. Harris and to this union, there were five children. Sons – Travis Margain, Sr., Nathan, Jr., Lowell, Elisha, and daughter, Patricia. Parthenia and Nathan made Tulsa their home. She retired from Tulsa Public Schools after working there many years, serving children hot lunches. Parthenia accepted Christ at an early age. She loved to sing, and sung in the Choir as a teenager at Church of God Evening Light Saints Church in Boley, Oklahoma. She was a faithful member of Pine Street Christian Church for many years until the time of her passing. Parthenia had three sisters and brothers. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 children, mother & father, sisters and brothers. Parthenia’s beautiful spirit will be cherished by her children, Nathan, Jr. (Sandra), Elisha (Annie Phair), and Patricia Beasley. She also leaves to mourn 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends. “Phenomenal Woman” Tribute from Those Close to Her She was beautiful, clever, quick-witted and giving, She embraced life & people – moved them in her own way. She made you laugh when you least expected it. Oh what a joy it was to be in her presence. She was an angel on earth.
