Obituary

Patsy Louise Simmons Romer

March 22, 1935 – February 3, 2026 

Patsy was born march 22, 1935 to Alvin and Golda Simmons in Sand Springs, OK. Upon graduation from Central high school , she attended Northeastern State College in Tahlequah.  She became a stewardess for Pan Am Airlines and literally traveled the world. She also served her country flying troops back and forth to Vietnam and tried to engage them with entertainment and relaxation amid a time of sorrow.  She later met and married the love of her life, Dr. Harold Romer.  They enjoyed travel. She was an amazing cook, incredible hostess, and loved entertaining friends and family.   They spent many weeks in New Orleans every year to enjoy good food , cooking and music.  Pat is preceded in death by her husband Harold, brother Ronnie (Leah) Simmons, brothers in law John Carlton Romer, Robert (Velrie) Romer, Howard(Alice) Romer, and sister in law Dorothy Ann Romer.  She leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will miss her greatly. The family would like to thank the staff of University Village and A-VOW Hospice service for their wonderful care.
