Obituary

Remembering you Jaxx. . . .

Paxton Irene Mundy “Jaxx” was born on July 14, 2002 in Gillette, Wyoming to Kristina Dawn Mundy.  While living in Gilette Paxton stole many hearts with her loving spirit.  The main heart she stole was that of “Papa” Donnie Percifield, Opa, Jim and “Nana” Kim DeArman, Uncle Corey (Lori) Mundy, Uncle Nicholas Mundy and Spencer (Natasha) Mundy.  And other aunts, uncles, great grandparents and cousins.  Paxton loved her great Grandpa and great Grandma Pekkala’s farm and animals so much that one time when she was leaving for home, Paxton tried to hide a baby lamb in her suitcase to take to her house. Kristina and Paxton relocated to Oklahoma where she continued her formal education at Tulsa Street School.

Paxton was an extremely loving and compassionate person, having never met an animal that she didn’t love.  She was full of light with a personality larger than life.  She was quirky, silly and always ready to make you laugh.  Her favorite time of year was the summer because she loved to swim in whatever body of water she could find.  Paxton also had a vivid imagination which went hand and hand with her love for drawing. Although she thought singing was not her greatest attribute, she enjoyed singing and music. Her beautiful smile will FOREVER be missed.

Paxton Irene Mundy was a beautiful and vibrant sixteen year old who has left this world far before her time.  On August 9, 2018, her battle with mental illness finally wore her down and the Lord welcomed her home to give her rest in His loving arms.

Paxton is survived by her mother, Kristina Mundy; grandparents, Jim and Kim DeArman, Donnie Percifield, Scott Mundy; Great Grandmother Marie Jones and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and best friends, Te’aire and Jill.
