Obituary

Phyllis Marie (Hunt) Wiley, 74, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 31, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. Born May 25, 1939 in Tulsa, OK. She attended Daniel Webster High school in Tulsa, and worked as a cardiac monitor technician at Hillcrest Hospital, until her retirement in 2007. But, her most important job was being a mother and grandmother, and she did it beautifully. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy A. Wiley, father, Jess Hunt, mother, Hazel (Massey) Hunt, brother, Sonny Hunt, sisters, Ruby Billings and Ruth Keeley. Phyllis is survived by daughters, Janet Hunt Friday and Shirley Stricker Gottschalk, grandson, Christian Gottschalk, brothers, Robert Hunt and Jerry Hunt, and sisters, Lorene Corey, Barbara Stockton, Glenda Goodwin and Colleen Mann, many honorary daughters, and a host of family, friends and loving pups. Viewings Thursday, September 5, 3 pm to 8 pm, and, with family, Friday, September 6, 6 pm to 8 pm at Butler-Stumpff, Tulsa. Her celebration of life service will be held Saturday, September 7, 1:00 pm, at Phoenix Avenue Baptist Church in West Tulsa. Interment following at Floral Haven Cemetery, Broken Arrow.
