Obituary

Cook, Ralph L. 88, of Tulsa Ok, died Sunday September 26th 2010. Ralph was born October 21, 1921 in Pittsburgh Kansas , to Oscar and Carrie Cook. During WWII, he served with the 33rd Army as a high speed code operator working in headquarters and fighter control during the invasions of New Guinea and the Philippines . He was honorably discharged as a Sgt.1st class after being awarded the purple heart in 1944. He returned home to Pittsburgh where he met and married his wife, Wanda Nenno. In 1951 he moved to Tulsa where he eventually came to own Bob Marshall TV and Color Master Picture Tube. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, loved by all. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Wanda, and daughter Barbara Cook. He is survived by his children: Sande Morgan, and husband Dale: Laura Lumley , and husband Daniel: Cara Orban; Ralph E. Cook; Maurna Snell, and husband James. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery , Thursday, September 30th, at 2:00pm with full military honors. Visitation will be at Butler & Stumpff Wednesday all day.

  1. I have many fond memories of times spent at the Cook home when I lived with my Aunt Shirley down the street. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
