  1. To the Gibbs and Swaffford families, you are in my prayers. I grew up with Randy in Asbury's youth group and will always remember his dry sense of humor and love of playing the guitar. May your sweet memories of Randy comfort you during this time.

First thought to come to mind is when Randy and I were staying with grandma and grandpa Morgan and decided it was a good idea to play tug of war with one of grandma's pillows on the couch while grandpa was in mid storytelling mode and falling half in and out of a nap. Needless to say the pillow ripped and ALL of the stuffing flew everywhere. Luckily, grandpa had fallen deep enough asleep not to notice. The rush was on to get it picked up and hide the evidence until we later "patched it up" and put it back behind the others on the couch. I remember us both trying not to laugh as grandpa Morgan was snoring the whole time we were picking tiny pieces of pillow foam off of the floor right below him. Hope nobody else took the wrap! LOL

I have many fond memories with Randy. Most recently watching Caleb play football for Broken Arrow and sitting with Randy, Gina, and Seth in the stands and cheering him on. Growing up I would spend time with Randy fishing and hanging out in the woods behind our grandparents house. Of course in his ornery way he just had to tell me about the snakes that are camouflaged to look like all the leaves we walking through. But one of the fondest memories I have was the kindness he showed me when I was staying in the basement at St Francis while doing an internship there. Several times he took the time to meet me and spend time with me. That has always meant so much to me. I am going to miss Randy.

My thoughts and prayers for your family through this shocking time. Though I didn't have but a few years to get to know Randy, he was very enjoyable to work with. He was not much younger than I but seemed like some what of a kid to work with. I was out of town when I received the news and am very sorry that I couldn't attend today. My deepest condolences to Randy's family.
