Obituary

Reggie Alan Adams was carried to Jesus, in the arms of an angel, on April 12, 2018. Arlene Louise Earle gave birth to Reggie on August 17, 1954 in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Joining the Navy at 18 and spending three years in Naples, Italy gave Reggie a love to travel, meet new people and set the stage for his career at Boeing. From working in the hydraulic shop, building pressure panels for the MD80, inspecting parts on the factory floor and receiving, he was most proud to have his quality stamp on parts for the International Space Station. Reggie took his job seriously and expected no more from others than he expected of himself. His Boeing career spanned 28 years in Tulsa, OK, Huntington Beach, CA and Everett, WA, retiring in 2010 at the age of 55. Reggie enjoyed going to the movies and loved traveling, fulfilling his dream destination of seeing Australia in 2016. He never met a stranger and could just about talk on any subject. Reggie had great admiration for his mother who proceeded him in death. She would say, “Use your head for more than a hat rack”. Reggie took her words to heart and took great pride in his home. He never did anything half way. If he didn’t have an answer to something, he would do the research, never being lazy or relying on others for the answers. Reggie is survived by his wife, Priscilla. They were married on March 20, 2010. He took her on many adventures and wanted her to see the world. His surviving family brought him he greatest joy through laughter and phone calls; brother Richard Earle and wife Gwen of Dana Point, CA; sister Carol Davis of North Brunswick, NJ; brother Aaron Adams and wife Zelma of Missouri City, TX; sister Alyce Adams of West Hartford, CT; nephew Adam Lodato and wife Breanna, their sons Luke and Evan of Wilmington, NC; niece Kara Halterman and her son Isaac of Torrington, CT. Reggie had a heart for underprivileged children and had plans to volunteer to teach them to read. In lieu of flowers, he would be happy knowing donations had been made to any reading or book program for children. Visitation will be 3-8pm, Friday, April 20, at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Saturday, April 21, at the Life Demonstration Church, 1200 South Olive Ave, Broken Arrow, OK followed by interment at the Rolling Oaks Memorial Gardens, Tulsa, OK.
