Obituary

Rhonda was born in Whichta Falls, TX to Bill and Melba (Harrison) Sales on July 18, 1958. Her family moved a lot over the years but eventually settled in Tulsa, OK in 1961 when Rhonda was only 3 years old.

She graduated from Owasso High School.

Attended Airline School and worked as a reservationist until they closed.

 She then enrolled in Career Pointe College where she became a certified cardiac nurse technician. She then worked for Davita, until she was longer able to work.   

Rhonda met and married Robert James Knight on April 15, 1987. Together they moved to Sand Springs, OK where they resided until her death. They were married for 35 years.

She was a very kindhearted, quiet girl who kept to herself a lot. She believed in God and has been a Christian for many years. She believed, “you should love your neighbor as yourself.”

Rhonda loved reading, baking, writing short stories as well as poetry. She was very artistic.

She had one cat named, Cricket whom she loved for 15 years. After Cricket passed, Rhonda adopted Fudge who she loved and cared for 14 years.

Rhonda is survived by her husband, Robert Knight, one son, Cory Sales of Sand Springs, mother, Melba Sales, sister, Starr DeRemer of Houston, TX, 3 neices: Michelle Miller, Melissa DeRemer, and Crystal Pfiel; nephew, Billy Wayne Greece, brothers in law: Thomas George Knight, Billy Knight, Donald Knight, Anthony Knight, and Ronald Knight; steps-sons, Randall Knight and Rodney Knight, and mother in law, Margarite Knight.

 She was preceded in death by her father, Bill W. Sales and brother, Billy Wayne Sales.

Visitation for Mrs. Knight will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., and Wednesday, June 16, 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Funeral Home, 2103 E. 3rd St, Tulsa, OK 74104.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2:00 p.m., at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery.
