Obituary

Richard Nolan Spears, 64, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed from this life on August 26, 2019.

Richard was born on July 30, 1955, in Great Ben, Kansas to Rea (Clifton) Spears and Nolan Spears. He moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma as a child.

He loved playing the French horn for Central High School’s marching band.

Richard married the love of his life, Sharon Smith on January 10, 1978.

In his younger years he was a carpenter. Later in life he worked as a mechanic and car salesman. After retiring he volunteered for Family & Children’s Services and Women In Recovery.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, building and flying model airplanes, riding motorcycles, watching football (especially the Green Bay Packers), eating, going to the ocean, watching old westerns and American Pickers, muscle cars, and hanging out with friends and family.

 

Preceded in death by his parents, Nolan & Rea Spears; his older brother, Charles Spears; and his in-laws, Mary & Clyce Smith.

 

He is survived by his wife, Sharon; son, Daniel; daughter, Lori; brothers, Eric, John, Ronald, Donald; sisters, Toni, Linda, Tammy; numerous nieces and nephews; best friend, Vernon Long; and 4 grand-pups.

 

He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
