Obituary

Roland went home to be with the Lord on the morning of 23 November after being tragically struck by an automobile. He was born to Alexander Kearney and Daisy Lee Boyd in Hackensack, New Jersey on 31 March, 1939. He relocated to Tulsa, Ok in 1963 after marrying his soul-mate Doris Hurvey. Together they raised a beautiful family serving Christ through the ministry of an evangelist then retiring in Tulsa in 2002. Roland is survived by five children and their spouses: Diane L. Spruill, Patrice K. McCray, Felicia A. Tennyson, LaNene Barnett, and Roland Kearney Jr. There are eighteen grandchildren: Joshua Ishmael Johnson, Joel Elisha Johnson, Corine LaQuiche’ Johnson, Ray Gene Tennyson III, Evander Sauve Tennyson, Zacchaeus Caleb Tennyson, Christall Faith McCray, Gavin Malik, Aaron Jabari, Saneca Barnett, Pasche’ Barnett, and seven other. There are nineteen great-grandchildren: Nehemiah Treyvino Johnson, Caitlin Aubriel Tennyson, William Brooks Jr., Michael Avery Beamon III, Micaiah DeShawn Beamon, Me’Shyra Beamon, Erqick Jajuan Hall, Esche’ Maria Hall, and eleven others. Roland is also survived by his siblings Emma Jane Kearney, Alexander Kearney Jr., Willie Kearney, and Peter Kearney. He was preceded in death by his brothers David Kearney and Isaac Cornelius Kearney.
