Obituary

Ronald Otto Marquette was born on February 20th,1933 to Grant Henry Marquette and Irma Ardell (Spake) in Okarche, Oklahoma. He passed away December 27th, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years old.Ron had 6 brothers, and 2 sisters and was raised on a farm in Mazie, Oklahoma where he attended elementary school.  He graduated in 1951 from Chouteau High school and then joined the Air Force as an ELCT recruit from 1951 to 1953; he was recalled back to service with the Navy as a fleet postmaster from 1955 to 1959. On June 14th, 1955, he married Rosetta (Jones) Marquette in Miami OK., of that union seven children were born; Ronald Kevin, Rodney Keith, Renee Karen, Rheea KeAnn, Randal Kerry, Russel Korey, and Ramon Kelly; along with many grand, great and great-great grandchildren.Ron held a cosmetologist license since 1963; he also completed two college degrees in Hotel/Restaurant Management, and Health Care Supervision. In addition to acquiring licensing in both real estate and insurance brokerage, Ron also holds a US patent on an invention; and enjoyed writing songs and composing music.Raising his seven children, Ron loved the Lord with all his heart and looked forward to his coming return. He enjoyed reading the Bible and attending church with his family.He is survived by three brothers, Russell, Maurice, and Marvin, and a sister Virginia.Those proceeded in death are his parents, Grant and Irma; Rosetta Marquette, three brothers, Grant, Wesley and Kenneth Marquette; a sister Roberta; his son Kevin; two grandsons,  Rodney and Donny, and four great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to your favorite charity.
