Obituary

Ruby Joyce Standridge, a longtime Mannford resident, passed away on January 5, 2013 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with family by her side. Ruby was born on April 9, 1933 in Marshall, Arkansas to James and Linnie Tilley. Ruby was known for being the ultimate mother. She always wanted to mother something or someone. Even after her children were grown, she was known to mother chickens, pheasants, ducks and many other animals. She mothered her enormous garden (one of the largest in the county) and most especially, she mothered the patients at Hissom Hospital where she spent more than 23 years providing loving care to so many. Ruby was known far and wide for her cooking; especially her BBQ sauce and her homemade rolls were practically sinful. She canned and bottled many of the things from her garden. Her motto was she would do the cooking, but you could do the cleaning. Ruby was a loving, caring, nurturing woman whom will be deeply missed by so many. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Clyves in 1993, her parents, and also 7 Brothers and Sisters, Eulis, Donnie, Marie Boyd, Tony, Charles, Fern Spencer and an infant baby girl. She is survived by her children, Glenda & William Greer, Rick & Shirley Standridge, and Vicki Gayle Standridge & Joe Conrady. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Kevin Dale Standridge, Ricky Joe Robinson and Rachel Baughn; and 5 siblings, Dale Tilley, Madge Hamilton, Jr. Tilley, Kim Tilley and Treva Lambert. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Butler-Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Mannford, Oklahoma.
