Obituary

Sandra “Jean” Heard was born in St, Louis, MO on July 19, 1970 to Mary and Jessie Welch. She moved to Tulsa, OK at a young age where she was raised. She graduated from Memorial High School in Tulsa, OK. She later went on to earn a Master’s Degree from Southern Nazarene University. She accepted Christ at a young age and later attended Church on the Move in Tulsa, OK.

Sandra owned a home daycare for 10 plus years. She later transitioned out of her home and became a Lead Teacher at the YMCA of Tulsa, for which she later became a Childcare Director.

Preceding Sandra in death is her mother, Mary Welch and her grandparents. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her father, Jessie (Sondra) Welch of Big Creek, MS; one daughter, Marquita Williams of Oklahoma City, OK; two sons, Arron Welch and Foster Williams both of Tulsa, OK; two brothers, James R. and Michael R. Artberry of Texas; two sisters, Shmona (Jimmy) Babb of Tulsa, OK and Jessica (Timmthoy) Armstrong of Calhoun City, MS; one stepbrother, Robert (Sue) Polley of Tulsa, OK; and a Life Partner, Ray Ellis of Tulsa; OK. She also leaves behind eight nephews and three nieces in addition to a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and good friends.
