Celebrating the Life of Sharon Ann Daniels
“For I am now ready to be offered and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course. I have kept the faith.” II Timothy 4:6-7
Sharon Ann Daniels was born on June 17, 1960 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Andrew Daniels and Mary Jane (Hughes) Daniels. She grew up in Tulsa and Beggs, Oklahoma. She attended Charles S. Johnson elementary and graduated from Central High School in 1978.
Sharon accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She attended Resurrection and Life Church in Tulsa, Pastor Troy Daniels. Where she sang in the choir and served on the usher board. She also attended Bethel Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kansas with her mother Mary Jane Daniels, where she was under the Pastoral Care Program. She also worked with the Mission Ministry and Evangelist Ministry in Kansas City.
Sharon Ann affectionately was called “Sugalump” by her immediate family, particularly her great nieces and nephew; was loved by many. Sharon had one child, Andrew Lee Daniels II, named after his paternal grandfather.
Along with being a devoted mother, she was also a devoted sister and aunt to a host of nieces and nephews. Sharon Ann was a very giving person and loved to serve not only the Lord but others as well. Sharon loved helping anyone in need, especially children. Sharon went to school for childcare and continued working with children throughout her lifetime. Sharon worked at Booker T. Washington High School until November 2016 due to her health. The children there tried to call Sharon “Sugalump”, but were shot down by her great-niece MaCayla because that was her name for her.
She departed this life late Thursday evening, July 6, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at her home surrounded by her family. She will be dearly missed. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Andrew Daniels of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her sisters: Sheila Daniels and Yolonda Daniels of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Regina Murray of Ardmore, Oklahoma. She left a host of nieces and nephews: Tinisha, Raymond, Eric, Mario, Brandy, Joshua, Christian, Myson, Trodd, and Tahj. Sharon especially loved and will be missed by her great-nieces and nephew: MaCayla, Lia, Jordan, Lilliana, and Makenzy. Sharon also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, church members, and friends across the country.
