Obituary

Shirley Anne McGlory, a homemaker of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away May 9, 2012 at the age of 63. She was born September 13, 1948 to Eugene and Bernice Hutton. She always had a passion for creative arts and soon found her place as a majorette during her teenage years. She took an interest in jazz and loved to read. Her children fondly remember her constantly giving them inspirational literature and music that blessed her. Shirley was extremely resourceful and hard working. She loved caring for her grandchildren. She found the Lord at a pivotal time in her life when she was ready for change. Everyone knows that Shirley loved God with all her heart. She pursued the Lord, even enrolling in the ministry program at her church. Her goal was to one day become a Christian counselor. Her love for the Lord extended to hurting people. She spent hours studying the Bible and always remained hungry. She is preceded in death by her father, Eugene Hutton; stepfather: Hoy Motley; grandson: Christopher Haynes; aunt: Lillian Borens; and uncle: George Hutton. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children: Donna Woods, Stephanie Parker, Crystal Haynes, and LaShon Cooper; her mother: Bernice Motley; sisters: Phyllis Williams and Mary Hutton; brother: James McCrary; fourteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.   2. I miss you so much momma. Day's seem so much longer without you. I find comfort in the things you taught me about God and i know that you're no longer in pain and you're with him in peace. I just want to thank you for your unwavering love, support and for being not only my mother, father and best friend. I love you and will use what you instilled in me to be with you again some day.
