Obituary
Stanley Albert Covalt, 58, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma entered into eternal life on January 12, 2017. Stan was born on January 5, 1959 in Newton, Kansas to Bill and Alberta Covalt. On July 30, 1983 he married his college sweetheart, LeAnn Worley.
Stan grew up in rural Missouri and graduated from Walker High School with honors where he was active in basketball, having made the allconference team multiple years. He was a graduate of Oral Robert University with both a bachelor and M.B.A. degree.
He was active in youth sports as a mentor and coach. Baseball continued to be his passion from his son’s T-ball games to watching his favorite team, the St. Louis Cardinals. Stan was a member of St. James United Methodist Church for 30 years, during those years he served as treasurer during the construction period and held various positions on the administrative council. Stan’s friendly and caring personality was demonstrated as he routinely would go above and beyond to assist or encourage others. His strong faith in his God was obvious in the fruits his life displayed.
He was preceded in death by his parents Bill & Alberta Covalt and grandparents Luke and Elizabeth Covalt. Stanley is survived by wife LeAnn Covalt; son Will Covalt; sister Susan (Bob) Mayer; brother-in-laws Doug (Lynn) Worley and Brian (Christy) Worley; nephews Sam, Blake, Austin, Davis, &Tate; niece Molly; and many friends and extended family.
A memorial service will be held on January 20 at 10:00 a.m. at St. JamesUnited Methodist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
