Obituary

Stephen Wayne Mullins, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 11:54 am from complications of pneumonia. He was 57 years old.

Stephen was born at St. Francis Hospital on June 12, 1964, to Ronald Warren Mullins and the late Judith Irene Johnson. He graduated from Union High School and acquired a Bachelor of Arts degree from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma, where he met his wife Rebecca Marie Edwards. They were married in Tulsa on August 6, 1983. They were the parents of three children, sons: Zachary Marshall Mullins and Samuel Joshua Mullins, and daughter: Caitlin Melaine Mullins.

Stephen was an award winning artist, who was kind and loving. He valued people and was continually willing to help them regardless of color, creed, or economic status. He was always curious and would take things apart just to see how they worked. He loved music, played the guitar, and the saxophone in school.

Stephen is survived by his children Samuel Mullins and Caitlin Mullins of Tulsa, his father and step mother Ron and Sondra Mullins of Tulsa, his brothers Wally Mullins and Russell Mullins of Tulsa, his sister Phyllis Taylor (and husband Jeff) of Tulsa, and brother Paul Mullins (and wife Chris) of Merriam, Kansas, his aunt Gretchen Alexander, nephews Ronnie, Steven, Jeremy, niece Brandi (and partner Mark), great nieces Julie and Joslin, cousins Barrett, Briana (and husband Matt), and other family members and friends too numerous to mention.

He was preceded in death by his mother Judi Johnson, his wife Becky, his son Zachary, and his brother Michael.

The family will meet privately to celebrate his life.
