Obituary

Mr. Steven D. Nissen, 65, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away on the early morning of Monday, September 6, 2021.

Mr. Nissen was born on December 29, 1955 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

He owned his own business as a 3rd generation wallpaper hanger. Upon retirement, he spent his days volunteering in the community. After his health declined, he found pleasure in his garden. He grew flowers and herbs. He loved watching birds and hummingbirds enjoying his homemade nectar. He will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife, R.L. Nissen, mother, Pattie, father, Douglas, and brothers, Larry and Richard.

He is survived by his daughter, Allison Scullawl-Nissen and Thomas of Kansas City, MO, daughter, Stefanie Nissen of Tulsa, son, Jared and Amber Nissen of Collinsville, grandchildren: Zoe, Breanna, Troy, Braylee, Christopher, and Teddy; as well as two great-grandchildren, Pearl and June, and many close friends of the LGBTQ+ community.
