Obituary

Steven Howard Doss was born to Dorothy Mary and DeVerne Doss August 26, 1957 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was the first son and fourth child of six. Steven was a beloved husband, father, brother, son, uncle and great uncle. He was the guy you would call if you needed anything. He was the guy you would call to go to the game with. His life revolved around his family, but nothing meant more to him than the beautiful blue eyed baby that changed his life forever. Emily could do no wrong and meant everything to him. The son of a Red Sox and Cardinals fan, he grew up listening to, watching and playing baseball games. Steven could answer baseball trivia at a moment’s notice. He was a lifelong student, always eager to learn. Recent endeavors included taking Spanish, ballroom dancing, guitar, karate, scuba diving and participating in the Senior Olympics, but was sidelined due to injury. Steven was a hard worker who never realized his own talent. He was charismatic, funny, loving, witty, and good with children. We all learned so much about ourselves and our faith through the life we shared with him. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Steven is preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law: Donald Cook and nephew: Brian Moss. He is survived by his wife: Ysabel; daughter: Emily Doss; brother: Bill (Peggy) Doss; sisters: Debbi Cook, Linda Moss, Sharon Doss, Sandy (Daren), along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.
