Obituary

Steven Paul Mirkin died on Monday, June 1, 2026 at St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa following a stroke. He was 74 years old. There will be a visitation at Butler-Stumpff Funeral Home on Friday, June 12, 2026 from 1-5 p.m. followed by a funeral at God’s Shinning Light Church on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at noon.

He was born on June 13, 1951, to Betty (Boysen) Mirkin and Leonard Mirkin in Sioux City, Iowa. His family moved from Sioux City to Tulsa when he was 8. He was a lifelong Tulsan from then on. Steve was known for being a loyal and dependable person who always showed up to help in any way he could when family and friends were in need. He was also known for his love of motorcycles. He will always be known as Santa by his motorcycle ministry buddies since his red hair and beard had faded to white so that he looked like Santa. He was also known for his sense of humor that made him crack himself up, which would make everyone smile.

He was proceeded in death by his mom, Betty Mirkin, his dad, Leonard Mirkin, and his cousin Cathleen Ruiz Rhodes. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Terri Raglin Mirkin, his daughter, Sarah Mirkin, his step daughter Sharla Eilers, his brother, Michael Mirkin, his sister-in-law, Paula Mirkin, his niece, Amber Mirkin, and his cousins Al Ruiz, Kristi Chenoweth, and Jolinda Gray, as well as many other cousins. Not to leave out all of his many friends that he loved very deeply.
