Obituary

Sylvia Sue Bernhardt, age 75, was called to heaven on November 29, 2014 with her family by her side. Sue was born August 31, 1939 in Pensacola, FL to Morris & Rubye Avery. She loved arts and crafts, singing utilizing her angelic voice. She was heavily involved with her church, her family and her church family. She was a blessing and her memory will resonate through the thoughts and hearts of many. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Charles E. Bernhardt, Sr.; her 6 children, Debbie Kay Hampton and husband Russell, Vickie Sue Traylor and husband Doyle, Jimmie Dean Holder, Jr., Kevin Scott Holder and wife Melanie, Daniel Eugene Bernhardt and wife Paula Guillen, and David Charles Bernhardt and wife Elissa. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Russell Nathan, Travis, Brett, Michelee, Rachael, Jimmie Albert, Mackenzie and Kenady; a grandson that she was looking forward to seeing arrive in January, Jaxon Bernhardt; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Avery and Betty Roddy and husband Mike. Sue was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Tommy Dean; and a brother, Morris “Skipper”. The family will receive friends at Butler-Stumpff Funeral Home on Wednesday, Dec. 3rd from 5-7pm.
