Obituary

On December 20, 1949, a baby boy was born to Carl and Florine Jones. They named him, Sylvester Jones.

Sylvester attended the Tullahassee school system where he gradated.

On January 24, 2020, Sylvester gained his wings and joined his two brothers: Robert Jones and Carl Jones; his grandson, Jarrod Reed, and Melvina Lorrine Jones.

Sylvester loved driving the bus and loved each and everyone of his coworkers, especially his dear friend, Andrew Harris.

Left to cherish his memory include his wife, Carolyn Jones, daughter, Yolanda Reed (Dedrick Reed), brothers: Ollie Jones and Charles Jones (Phyllis Jones); two grandchildren: Dedrick Reed, Jr. and Kayla Reed; five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  

Although he will be sorely missed, we know Sylvester no longer feels any pain and one day, we will meet again. Until then, may he rest in Heaven.
