Obituary

On June 12, 1969, a beautiful daughter was born to Solomon and Elaine Lankster in Tulsa, Oklahoma, she was the second daughter to this union. She attended Tulsa Public Schools. Her high school years were spent at East Central High School. Ressie was feisty and did things how she wanted and was very outspoken. If you didn’t know how she felt, just wait, she would let you know. She had a passion and love for cooking, always picking up tips and pointers from her favorite show, Rachel Ray. Ressie received her CNA license and worked in the health care field for many years. Ressie chose at a young age to accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior and feared no one but God. Ressie was a source of strength an encouragement to all that know her. Ressie is preceded in death by her daughter Bryshell Downing; mother Elaina Sloand and father Solomon Lankster; special father JB Sloan. She leaves behind to cherish her memory; daughters: Brytne Downing and Adrianna Woolridge; grandchildren: Ronnique Downing, Rhianna Downing and Serenity Downing; sisters: Terri (Kief) Maxey, Tramikka Sloan, Chamikka Sloan and Shawntae Sloan along with a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.
