Obituary

Veta Marguerite Germain was born September 15, 1937 in Bay City, Michigan to Veitus C. and Geneva H. Germain. She left this world on September 19, 2022.

Veta was raised in Michigan and later relocated to Tulsa, Oklahoma. She attended Tulsa University where she met Bunny R. Manley, together they raised a son until Bunny’s death in 1998.

Veta was employed at First American Abstract until she retired in 2002. After retiring she shared the next 20 years with Tharen Payne. She loved working in the yard and loved playing Fantasy Football with her buddies from First American. She was an avid reader and loved animals, so much that she actually ran a kennel at one time. She and Tharen traveled in an RV with friends and spent some winter months in Texas. Veta will always be remembered by her friends as having a big smile for everyone. Anyone who ever met her, loved her. She was the sweetest person and we will all miss her terribly.

Veta was one of 5 children and is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Dale Germain from Prescott Valley, AZ who passed in 2019, Al Germain of Huntsville, AL in 2020, and her youngest brother Wayne of Port Angeles, WA who died in 2021.

She is survived by her brother Matt from East Wenatchee, Washington, her son Todd Germain who currently resides in Turkey and her life partner at the time of her death, Tharen Payne.
