Obituary

 

Victoria Estelle Dean, born December 2nd, 1969 in Washington D.C., passed from this life, on Wednesday June 23, 2021.  Victoria, was the 4th child, born to the union of Harland Woodson Dean and Gladys Ruth Jones. Victoria is preceded in death, by her Father, Harland Woodson Dean (2003).

Victoria attended primary and jr. high school in Takoma Park, Maryland, and her first 3 years of high school in Adelphi, Maryland, but graduated her senior year at McClain Highschool in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She went on to attend the University of Tulsa and received a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology. Victoria, a continual learner, enrolled herself in various short term occupational  programs, to learn new skill sets. Later in life, she completed a  Master’s degree, in Business Management, at Regent University and was pursuing a Master’s in Public Health at Capella  University.

She enjoyed reading, visiting museums and various cultural events, and enjoyed different styles of worship by attending various houses of  worship, from time to time. Victoria enjoyed homeschooling her youngest daughter, Calista, and she worked online, from home, in education, grading college entrance essays, and basic English instruction of Chinese students, as well as working in customer service for other online businesses. Most recently, she started her own tax preparation business.

 Victoria leaves to share her departure,  her Mother, Gladys Ruth Dean, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, brothers, Jazima Hajo (Harland Woodson Dean Jr.) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Kenneth Michael Dean, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and sister, Samarabeth Patricia Dean Hill, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. She also leaves to cherish her memory, her dear children, Antonio Marluki Toussaint, of Stafford, Virginia, Mariah Antoinette Toussaint, of Marietta, Georgia,  and Calista Monique Hill, of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, as well as nephew, Cory Wayne Hill, and niece, Camry Brianna Hill, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma, as well as numerous extended families, friends, and classmates.

 

Visitation for Ms. Hill will be held on Friday, July 2, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Funeral Home, 2103 E. 3rd St., Tulsa, OK 74104.

  1. Dearest Luki, Mariah, and Calista. Your Mother, my Sister, Victoria, was driven, determined, and possessed the ability to stay focused, amidst any obstacle that presented itself. She looked at mountains, as if they were molehills, and took on a challenges, as if they were a to-do list. I admired these qualities about her. I'm so sad that her life, here on earth, was cut short, but I have full assurance, as should you all, that she has transitioned, to her place in line, to glory.
    I pray that The Most High YAH, sustain you, and keep you, during this time.
