Obituary

On September 25th 1952, in the little town of Ada Oklahoma, Eva and Beryl Lynn welcomed Virginia Ann into the world. She came home to her sister Betty and brothers Clyde and Bill. Later, Gin became a big sister to Dave. Virginia married just out of school and began traveling the world; she then returned home to Tulsa with her two boys Jason and Corey. The summer of 1979 she met the love of her life Tom Blakley. Tom also had two children Jayson and Erin. Later in 1980 the blended family welcomed Becca. Tom and Virginia’s family grew even more with the addition of granchildren: Matthew, Derian, Bailey, Ledgend, Natalie, Justus, Tyler, Jace, Sage, and Addyson. Taking care of people was important to Virginia. She wanted people to feel safe and loved. So if that meant sharing her home, that’s what she did. She also spent many years helping to protect abused children. She believed children should not have to live in fear. She may have been small in stature but her love was big! Virginia became very ill rather quickly. She left this life with her family by her side on January 24th. The hole she left in our hearts will be felt forever. But she would not want us to be sad; for she is no longer hurting and in a much better place. Sis, so many fond memories have flashed through my mind these past few days, but I can't find the words to write any of them down. You have touched so many people with your caring compassion. Rest easy now Sis. I love you.
