Obituary
A Memorial Service will be held 6:30 p.m. ~ Friday ~ September 7, 2007 at Yale Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness. 554 South Memorial Drive Tulsa, OK. Walter Clinton (Buddy) Reedy is survived by one daughter, Barbara Cockrell and a loving and loyal son-in-law, LeVaine Cockrell of Atlanta, GA. Three grandchildren, Eric Cockrell and Kaliska Wright, all of Atlanta, GA. Four Great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jackson Cockrell, Rachel and Cole Wright also of Atlanta, GA. Also surviving is one brother, Everett Allen Reedy of Wellington, KS. Three sisters, Betty J. Elleman and Ruth Asther Cagle both of Barlesville, OK. and Patricia Ann Grant of St. Louis, MO. Two dear sister-in-laws, Jane Reedy of Tulsa, OK. and Janie Reedy of Wellington, KS. 24 nieces, nephews and a multitude of dear friends are also left behind. His wife Juanita, parents Everett Walter and Minnie (Sarcoxie) Reedy and three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. Buddy was a faithful minister of Jehovah’s Witnesses through many trials and tests, from a young man to his death. He was a poet and an artist both in drawing and in his life-time profession of photography. He owned Walt’s camera repair for many years and had an extensive collection of antique cameras along with many other unusual and interesting things. Being a helper and caregiver with a keen sense of humor, though he could be stern (and easily hurt), he endeared himself to many and he will be sorely missed. Floral offerings may be sent to 1221 South 83rs. East Ave. Tulsa, OK. If desired, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to East Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 12615 East Admiral PL. Tulsa, OK.
