Obituary
May 29th 1971, Willeka “KeKe” Marie Johnson was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Mattie “Cookie” Johnson and Robert “Bobby” Hertt. The oldest of 7, Willeka attended Tulsa public schools until graduating from McClain Senior High.
Willeka was always known for her determination, work ethic, and genuine spirit. She worked tirelessly to support herself, countless friends, and family members. Often moving up to management in any profession she was in.
Following her mother’s religious beliefs. Willeka embraced her faith at a young age. She carried those same values throughout her life’s journey. Her loyalty and willingness to help others left a long-lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
She was welcomed into heaven by her grandparents, William and Marie Johnson, from whom she received her beautiful name; her father, Bobby; aunt, Marion; and her brother, Charles Allen ‘Jermaine’ Nickerson.
She leaves to cherish her loving mother, Mattie “Sis Cookie” and husband, Paul Anderson; Aunts Margaret Anderson, Clarice “Pastor Peaches” Johnson and uncle William “Pap” Johnson Sr.; siblings Temeka Farmer, Anje and Juan Taylor, Monic Farmer, Rodney Williams, Sharon Farmer and bonus siblings Stephanie and William “EJ” Johnson Jr, Robert Jr, Reon and Eva, Demetrius and Anesha, Carl and Dana, Kim and Charles, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Though not a biological parent, Willeka named and helped raise Willeka and Shaleka Dixon, along with their siblings. She was a mother to many. She was more than someone to look up to. She was a protector, role model, mentor, and more. Though we grieve our loss, we take comfort that her spirit is now at peace.
