CHERRY, William “Bill” James, 90, passed from this life on August 5, 2010 in Tulsa, OK. He was born on October 27, 1919 in Hartman, Arkansas to Denver James and Alma Lena (McKelroy) Cherry. He was a welder and dog breeder. He is survived by his son: Billy Scott Cherry; daughter: Sandra Jean Cherry Garrett; sister: Mary; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives. Mr. Cherry was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Louella Mae (Green) Cherry; and sister: Bertha. Viewing will be from 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 11, and 8:30 AM – 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 12, at Butler-Stumpff Funeral Home, 2103 E. Third St, Tulsa, OK. A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 13, 2010 at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. I'm so missing Grandpa right now as we all are. He was a great Father,Husband and Grandpa.. I will remember all the good times that we spent together playing with puppies and always trying to take one home each time there was a new litter..But mom always said no..The holidays we spent were great.. I will always remember Grandpa and Grandma and the love that they shared for each other and always wanting to have that..I miss grandpa and love ya..
