Obituary

Yvonne Wissa Ghali, 73, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away at Hillcrest Medical Center on August 5th, 2015. Yvonne was an active member of her church, the International Church at Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian. Growing up in Cairo, Egypt, she studied and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Cairo. While in Cairo Yvonne met and married Safwat, in the Coptic Church. She immigrated to the US when she was in her twenties. She loved her grandchildren and getting to vacation with them in Florida, a very special event each year. She loved to cook Middle Eastern and Greek Food, garden and enjoyed deep sea fishing in Florida. Her food was always the talk at church banquets. Her smile, cheerful spirit and giving personality will be greatly missed. Yvonne is preceded in death by her husband, Safwat Nasri Ghali. Yvonne is survived by her sons: Nader (Linda) Ghali of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Peter Ghali of Washington, DC.
