Obituary

// Karen Faye (Holm) Ward left this lowly world to go join her creator on January 20, 2018

Survived by daughter, Jacquelin Rackliff; granddaughters Rachel and Amanda, and great- grandsons Wyatt and Jaxson.

Karen’s Ute Indian name was lee-way-Nee (bird Woman), She was well into her 50’s before she finally discovered her origin.

Karen had a long rich life filled with many people, too numerous to mention. Her working career covered many vocations, starting with garden seed salesman at the age of 9, on to waitress, laundress, secretary, restaurant manager, executive secretary, cocktail waitress, cross country truck driver, welder, to her final career of massage therapist and spiritual healer. Many people were helped by her healing touch.

Karen was a graduate of the “School of Hard Knocks” with degrees in Fortitude, Ambition, Selflessness, and all the other things that made her who she was. There was never anything that held her back from going after what she wanted to do. The lack of formal education did not deter her. Her theory was “A day without learning something was a lost day.” I She knew a little about everything and was an avid reader, she spent more time listening and less time talking!

Her request of you is not to cry for her loss, but to remember some little thing she said that made you laugh – and laugh again. Remember she has gone on to Infinity where there is no pain or unhappiness. Don’t try to hold on to her with your grief, let her go in joy!
