David began his career in funeral service in Bartlesville at his father’s Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory at the age 14. An alumnus of Bartlesville High School, University of Oklahoma, and Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, David made his home in Tulsa to continue providing Oklahoma Funeral Care as a colleague of Charles L. Butler in the Spring of 1987.
David’s licenses and specialties include Oklahoma Funeral Director; Embalmer; Certified Crematory Operator, Cemetery Management; and Oklahoma and Texas Life Insurance Agent specializing in pre-planning final wishes and burial insurance.
David serves as C.F.O. on the Board of Directors of American Century Life Insurance Company, Oklahoma, and is President of The Stumpff Corporation. d.b.a. Stumpff Funeral Homes, crematories and cemetery.

Today Mrs. Dyer along with her Sons, and some Grand-children are now together as Butler-Stumpff & Dyer. A long standing tradition of families joining together The Butler’s, Stumpff and Dyer Families.

Gary D. Carter, licensed Insurance Agent and assistant to the funeral director, was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He graduated from Muskogee High School in 1975 and went on to receive an Associate’s Degree from Conners State College in Warner, Oklahoma. Gary has one daughter, two grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is a Deacon and Chairman of the Usher Board at Greater Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Gary has been in funeral service since 1971 and has been a dedicated part of the Dyer family since 1999. He has made a new home for himself at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer where he will continue to serve the community and help our new partnership become a true success.

Samuel L. Dyer was born and raised in Tulsa Oklahoma and is a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. Sam Served in the United States Marine Corps for 13 years and is active with the American Legion in Tulsa.
Sam was introduced into funeral service at a very young age working with his family at Dyer Memorial Chapel a family owned and operated Tulsa Funeral Home. Sam currently serves as a Senior Funeral Assistant to the directors at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Memorial Chapel, Funeral Home, Crematory and Cemetery.

Jamaal Nash-Dyer is a Tulsa native and Booker T. Washington High School graduate. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication with emphasis in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff. He later obtained a Master’s of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from Langston University and is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate at Family and Youth Intervention Services.
Jamaal is actively involved in many civic, religious and professional organizations. He currently serves as a board member for the Booker T. Washington High School Foundation for Excellence and Tulsa Legacy Charter Schools. Jamaal is also a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc
