Charles L. Butler

Charles L. Butler and his wife, Karen, founded Butler’s Chapel of Roses in 1966. Believing that “overspending is not a sign of devotion,” Charles began a long-standing tradition of offering affordable funerals with a level of unbeatable quality in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area.

Our Tulsa Funeral still stands at 2103 E 3rd Street, Tulsa OK 74104 just blocks from downtown Tulsa’s East Village a very popular destination.

The Tulsa Pearl District boarders the East Village and continues to be the heartbeat of Tulsa night life.

Charles and his colleague Dr. F. G. Conley joined with Stumpff Family Companies in 1977. Charles served as senior director at Butler-Stumpff Funeral Home until his death in 1990. Charles, or “Charlie” as he was called by his friends, was an amazing influence, mentor, and educator to David Stumpff when he began his career in funeral service in 1987. Charles’s wife, Karen, passed away in 2012.

Today, our entire professional team honors his legacy in funeral service by holding true to their core beliefs, setting the standard for affordable funerals in Tulsa.
