Obituary

Visitation for Mr. David Scott Carlyle, II will be held Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 10:00am-4:00pm at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Funeral Home.

David Scott Carlyle II, age 33, of New Madrid, Missouri, formerly of St. Louis Missouri, passed away on July 31, 2022 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. “Scotty” was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on January 10, 1989 to David Scott and Dianna Hurt Carlyle, who both survive of New Madrid, Missouri.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, “Honey” Hurt of Evansville, Indiana; one brother, Kolton Carlyle Of Paxton, Nebraska.; three sisters, Kaylie Carlyle of Paxton, Nebraska, Amber and Thomas Brown of Atlanta Georgia, and Teri and Tommy Cade of East Prairie, Missouri; aunts and uncles, Jo and Chuck Eckert of Williamsburg, Missouri, Brad Hurt of Dallas, Texas, Donna Sweet of Dexter, Missouri, Bobby and Darla Carlyle of Charleston, Missouri, Phillip and Robin Carlyle, Connie Crocker and Larry Stuckey, Bonita and Barry Patrick, June Carlyle and Marty and Lisa Carlyle, all of East Prairie, Missouri; four nephews, Christian and Christina Laminack of Scott City, Missouri, Braylan Cade, Trea Cade and Grae Tatum, all of East Prairie, Missouri; six nieces, Jordan Laminack of Panama City Beach, Florida, Sydney Brown of Concord, Georgia, Shelbie Shockley, Remi Cade, Laila Weakley, and Harper Garnett, all of East Prairie, Missouri, with two more little ones on the way; great niece, Lilly Laminack of Scott City, Missouri and a host of cousins and friends.

Scotty was preceded in death by one sister, Melissa Dawn Jones; maternal grandfather, Reverend Cecil Hurt; paternal grandparents, PL and Bonnie Carlyle; and one uncle Allen Carlyle.
