Obituary

On September 5, 1921, a bouncing baby girl was born to John and Roberta Freeman in Avant, Oklahoma. They named her Beatrice Ophelia. She grew up and attended school in the town of Avant. She also attended the Church of God in Christ there. Her family later moved to Claremore, Oklahoma, where she lived for many years. Beatrice began to work as a CNA at Wood Manor Nursing Home in Claremore. She worked there for 14 years with perfect attendance. She loved caring for others in need that could not do for themselves. Beatrice then moved to Tulsa, where she has spent the last years of her life. She had lots of spunk and energy and was very self sufficient until her health began to fail. Beatrice went through many trials and tribulations, but she had faith and determination, and she triumphed over many of them. Beatrice is preceded in death by her parents John & Roberta Freeman and her sister Estella Hearn. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Joann Robinson (Darrick), a granddaughter Brianna Gilford, and two grandsons Carlton and Matthew Gilford, all of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
