Obituary
Betty Louise (McLaughlin) Bristol was born on May 7, 1933 to Henry Lloyd and Mayreen (Johnson) McLaughlin. Betty passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma on January 3, 2016 at the age of 82.During her marriage to Warren G. Bristol they were blessed with 4 children. Warren Anthony Bristol, Robert Henry Bristol, Teresa Ann Bristol and Steven Michael Bristol. She felt honored to be blessed with four children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, four sisters and one brother.Betty attended Elementary and High School in Sand Springs, then Central High School in Downtown Tulsa located at 7th and Detroit, which is currently PSO Electric Company. She loved having kids around her, not only family, but the neighborhood kids as well, years down the road, her daughter Teresa figured it was because of her cooking and taking time to listen to them if they needed something to eat and someone to talk to. If she had the means to help someone she would do it.She enjoyed and loved working in her garden and flower beds, but no one could mow, weed-eat, rake and bag the grass like she had for so many years before. Betty also loved being in the kitchen, cooking and baking, though she had trouble doing it for just her after all the kids were gone from home. Other things she liked to do was dancing and going fishing, and crossword puzzles, working them a week and a half before she passed.Betty is preceded in death by her parents Henry and Mayreen McLaughlin, father of her children: Warren Bristol, two sons: Warren Bristol and Robert Bristol, sister: Vernal Marie Graham, brother-in-laws: Stanley McVey and Larry Prim.Survivors include children: Teresa Ann Davis and Terry of Tulsa, Stephen Michael Bristol and Jill of Tulsa; grandchildren, great grandchild and great-great grandchildren; sisters: Beatrice McVey of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Retta Campbell and Wayne of Owasso, Oklahoma, Ruth Prim of Depew, Oklahoma; brother Lloyd and Margarite McLaughlin of Kellyville, Oklahoma along with many friends she had made while spending time at her son-in-law’s business.
