Obituary
Charles was born in Coweta, Oklahoma on September 9, 1930 to Ulysses and Elizabeth Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Erma Jean, his son, Ponce deLeon, his brother, Coleman, and his sisters, Jeweline, Lucille, Lula Mae and Lorene. Charles started his career as a butcher for Banfield Meat Market and continued to work as a butcher for Reasor’s after his retirement. Because of his passion for horses and the participation in the rodeos, he was known as the “Meat Cutter” when he rode in the Grand Entry on his favorite horse “Dickie Boy.” Charles leaves to hold in his memory his children, Luella Marie, Charles, Jr. (Dovie), and Fred of Tulsa, OK; Andre of Sand Springs, OK; Symaria (Harvey) of Lexington Park, MD; and Wanda Jean (Winfred, Jr.) of Wagoner, OK; one sister, Erma Jean Smith of Tulsa, OK; brothers Ulysses, Jr. of Tulsa and Superintendent Freddie L. Anderson of Wichita, KS; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren will miss their “Paw Paw.”

I worked with Mr. Anderson at Reasors. He was a very nice man we all loved. He always made us and the customers laugh. We will miss him very much. May God help your family through this time of sorry.
